Description
Details: Xtentia was appointed as structural engineers to design the four-storey head office of Africa Steel and Tube in Alrode. The building consists of a hybrid combination of steel, in-situ reinforced concrete and precast elements. Each material was utilized to take advantage of their unique benefits to achieve the structural objectives. The design of the building required large open spaces with glass facades and minimal structural obstructions.
